Cookie Policy — MySite (my-personal.site)
Effective date: August 11, 2025
Last updated: August 11, 2025
1) Summary
We currently do not use tracking cookies on my-personal.site. We use cookieless analytics to understand aggregate traffic (e.g., page views, referrers, UTM). No personal profiles, no cross-site tracking.
Controller: MySite
Contact: admin@my-personal.site
We follow EU GDPR / UK GDPR and applicable U.S. state privacy laws (e.g., CCPA/CPRA). If our use of cookies changes, we will ask for consent where required.
2) What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites. Related tech includes local storage, session storage, and pixel tags. Some are essential to make a site work; others (analytics/marketing) are non-essential and typically require consent in the EU/UK.
3) Our current use
| Category | Purpose | Do we use it now? |
|---|---|---|
| Essential/Functional | Keep the site secure and working (e.g., basic session or CSRF token if required) | Possibly (only if strictly necessary) |
| Analytics (non-essential) | Measure usage, improve site | No tracking cookies — we use cookieless analytics |
| Marketing/Advertising | Retargeting, ads, cross-site profiling | Not used |
Cookieless analytics: we collect aggregate metrics (e.g., page URL, referrer, device type, approximate region, UTM parameters) without placing tracking cookies or building profiles.
4) Consent status (EU/UK)
Because we do not use non-essential cookies, we currently do not display a cookie banner.
If we add optional analytics or marketing cookies in the future, we will:
- Show a consent banner (opt-in for EU/UK),
- Offer granular choices (Essential / Analytics / Marketing),
- Respect your preferences using a Consent Management Platform.
5) Managing cookies in your browser
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy
- Firefox: Preferences → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
Blocking essential cookies may affect site functionality.
Do Not Track (DNT): Many browsers offer a DNT signal. Our current cookieless analytics does not track individuals across sites, but we treat DNT as an additional privacy preference where applicable.
6) U.S. state privacy note (e.g., CCPA/CPRA)
We do not "sell" or "share" personal information as defined by CPRA (including for cross-context behavioral advertising). If this changes, we will provide an opt-out and update this page.
7) Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as our technology or laws change. The Effective date shows the latest version. Material changes will be clearly communicated on-site (and by email when appropriate).
